About Viang Yonok

My wife Vassana and I run Viang Yonok Hotel next to Chiang Saen Lake, a most beautiful location. Vassana has experience from working in a hotel and then a restaurant in Pattaya, several years ago. I have considerable experience as a guest having travelled the world staying in hotels of all classes, for thirty years, while working at sea. We noted a long time ago, that many hotels have their priorities wrong.

Some hotels charge guests extra, above quoted charges because of a later added service charge or tax, but surely this is not honest. Some hotels charge extra for internet, which we believe is as essential as a bed, so should not be an extra. Some hotels charge extra for drinking water, but as the most basic substance of life, this is clearly wrong.

We have a simple philosophy; hospitality is about giving guests what they want at a fair price, with no tricks.

Happy departing guests is our reward...... and we seem to have plenty of them.
