Directions:
If driving from Chiang Rai city or Chiang Rai airport, head north on highway 1, until you reach the town of Mae Chan. Then, as you are leaving the town you'll see a main junction and right turn onto road 1016, signposted to Chiang Saen. Drive along this road until you reach kilometre marker 27. Take the right turn there, Soi 1, to Chiang Saen Lake. Drive past the rice fields, take a left turn, then a right turn, up the hill, through the village of Bahn Ku Tao. When you drive down the hill you'll see the lake on the right and Viang Yonok on your left.
